It you’ve ever walked the New York International Gift Fair, you know the fever dream of venturing onto that floor. With a whopping 35,000 vendors ranging from tabletop to textiles, from Brooklyn to Bulgaria, it’s like a design Olympics.
I also love this show for catching up with so many of my favorite vendors and getting inspired by their newest creations. Naturally, I snapped a few standouts.
This sleek, gloss navy lacquered chest of drawers from Bungalow5 had incredible impact:
Is there anything more charming than these gloss powder coated multi-colored lanterns from Oomph?
Rani Arabella always delivers discreet luxury, like these oversized cashmere “parquets” patterned pillows:
I could have spent hours combing the cool curated mix of books, objects and artwork – at Zoe Bios Creative.
These lacquer and brass nesting tables from Jonathan Adler stopped me in my tracks:
John Derian offered square and rectangular decoupage plates with playful painting themes:
Emissary Home & Garden‘s fun, colorful ceramic stars would be delightfully chic inside or out:
The show is a must for anyone who relishes great design. What are your favorites?
