Discovery

Every project begins with a thorough understanding of the architecture, the client's lifestyle, aesthetic, and goals — and a candid conversation about budget. Initial site visits, detailed client conversations, and completion of S.B. Long's Client Questionnaire and aesthetic exercise establish the foundation before a single selection is made.

Design

A complete design vision is developed and presented as a formal, curated experience — drawings, material samples, furniture plans, and imagery that bring the concept to life before a single item is ordered. Client collaboration is central to this phase. Every direction taken reflects the client's vision, elevated through Susan's expertise, and refined until the design is exactly right.

Execution

S.B. Long manages the interior design vision through the full construction process and fulfills all merchandise procurement. Vendors are coordinated, site installations verified, furniture timelines tracked, and every decision overseen with the organized, communicative approach that keeps projects on course and clients informed.

Installation

Susan personally oversees the final installation — furniture, art, accessories, and styling — ensuring the completed interior is exactly what was envisioned from the start. The reveal of a finished room is the moment every decision has been working toward, and it is treated with the care it deserves.

Beyond the Reveal

S.B. Long remains available after installation to address any final adjustments and ensure the completed interior meets the standard set from the beginning. The relationship does not end on installation day.
