My Fall Wish List

Maybe it’s all the September issues mounting on my coffee table, but I’m feeling acquisitive.  Something about the onset of Fall has me craving things of substance; rich, luxurious textures and a bit of glamour.  This year, my favorite design houses did not disappoint.  I’ve picked out a few pieces that could usher me happily into the new season:

The Madras hobo from Prada has an incredible, weathered patina – so chic:

This tailored Tory Burch sweater coat would be perfect for scouting at the Washington Antique Show or toasting the Orvis Cup winner at Sandanona:

For dressier moments, I love this open-knit cashmere number from The Row:

Speaking of cashmere, I’m obsessed with this Rani Arabella throw with fur trim for that luxe, Aspen look:

These tassel earrings by Rachel Zoe have lovely deco lines and Jazz-age movement, a dynamic accent…

…balanced perfectly by these cool, nude Louboutin pumps,  a modern classic:

For the coup de grace, I offer the discreet charm of this versatile table by Hermes:

Best for last: cool, crisp nights enjoying the sparkling company of friends.  What’s on your wish list?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by design and the subtle impact of our surroundings. Some of my earliest influences still resonate – I think of the dark woods and textured lodens of my father’s shooting club, the smell of fresh paint on a new canvas, and the bold symmetry of the Philip Johnson Glass house just down the street. For me, it was a natural path to become an Interior Designer. I love what I do. I’ve created this Journal to share my thoughts, finds and design inspirations. I hope you enjoy it!
