My family has a tradition of spending our annual summer vacation in Sconset, Nantucket. We’ve spent the past 6 celebrations of the Fourth of July here and every time I’m here I am filled with inspiration and admiration towards the history of this island. Nantucket has a special pride and love of Independence Day and its annual water fight on Main Street between kids and fireman has become a must for my family. We enjoy taking long bike rides throughout the island and along the beach while soaking in the patriotic store displays and scenic views. Almost every house has a full-size American flag, and it seems that no matter where you turn you can spot the Red, White and Blue colors proudly displayed.
Here is a look at a few photos I’ve taken so far on our trip.
