Tribeca Penthouse
The owners of this penthouse love design and wanted a clean, neutral palate fitting for their New York lifestyle. With soft grays throughout, Susan added a through-line of warm terra cotta hues to the spaces and pops of cobalt blue. Classic modern furniture is a favorite of the clients. Susan found several 20th-Century modern pieces, like the Harvey Probber mahogany and caned dining chairs and the Bertha Shaffer cocktail table, to add warmth to the clean architectural space. Comfort and durability for the kids and dog was also very important - the dining table was custom designed with a bar top lacquer, all fabrics are durable indoor/outdoor quality and the dining room area rug is sturdy woven plastic. In this NYC apartment interior design, each space has multiple functions, so Susan was thoughtful about making the rooms sophisticated, while still maintaining their flexibility and friendliness.
