I spent a glorious two weeks on Nantucket for our annual family getaway. ACK (the airport call letters and nickname the locals call it) is one of my favorite places and its visual icons are unmistakable: the weathered gray cottages, brilliant climbing roses and crisp, nautical palette. On this trip, I was particularly struck by the lush walls of greenery and lovely garden gates that line the island estates. I snapped a few for inspiration:

Design scouting aside, it was about unwinding with family and dear friends. Some highlights:
Playing golf with my son
Biking down my favorite street, Baxter Road
Hanging out at Cisco Brewery
Helping my kids set up a lemonade stand
Sunset cocktails at Galley Beach
Boogie boarding with my kids on Sconcet beach
What are your iconic vacation moments? I’d love to hear!
